picnic grilling for small spaces
By Martha // Posted 11 June, 2010 in: Affluenza, Picnics
What’s small, bright, and makes all of our picnic dreams come true? Indeed, a tiny grill from Bodum. We’ve been hunting a round, portable, lidded grill for a while now and this just might be the one. Tom and I have narrowed it down to yellow, but the FYRKAT Picnic Charcoal Grill also comes in green, blue, orange, white, and black.

Sweet! I want one each color…!
I’ve been a reader of yours for a long time 🙂 I too live in the MSP area and am just getting started in food blogging. I felt compelled to comment on this post because we just got these grills at the store that I work at. I’m not trying to promote the store (honestly), but if you want to get this grill locally, I can let you know where.
Toni,
I’d love to know where to find them in the Minneapolis area and I’m sure others would too. Feel free to share in the comments!
I’m partial to the off-white, but this one is pretty too! C
I didn’t put it in the comments before in case you didn’t want me to. I work at the Culinary Shop at Byerly’s in St. Louis Park. We just got them in this week and have yellow, green and blue I think. They are selling for $49.95 which is the same as the website 🙂
Also, I’m sorry for the stupid smileys in the comments.
I bought it! Let’s hope the cook loves it too…
I saw this in my most recent Cooking Light which came a couple days ago. Very cute! And if I didn’t already own a plain black Weber of the same size I’d be heading out to pick up one of these beauties.
Kris,
There are a couple of reasons I think the Bodum grill wins out in a match of Fyrkat vs. the little Weber. The clips that hold the lid on the Bodum grill make it easy to carry from place to place and Tom is pretty convinced that the Bodum version is ever so slightly bigger than its Weber counterpart.
I think you’re right that the best reason is that it’s very very cute!
